Cookies & Milk

Hi, friends! I wanted to share this cake with you that my mother-in-law made for our nephews' 1st birthday party. The theme was cookies and milk. It turned out awesome, so I just wanted to share it!

Have a great day!

Anniversary Card

Hi, crafty friends! It's been a while, but I wanted to share this anniversary card I made for my in-laws 50th anniversary. I love making clean and simple cards with just a bit of sparkle!
The stamps I used are actual rubber and not digi this time! It felt good to use rubber again, but digi's are so versatile! The bells are from an old Stampin' Up sketch set and the "happy anniversary" is from the Michael's $1 bin years ago! I kind of dig the color combo. It's different. Oh, the ribbon is from Michael's $1 bin as well! I love dollar stuff! lol
Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed week-end!

Birthday Gifts

Hello strangers! I'm back to share a couple things with you!
First is a simple card I made using a stampin' up flower cake! I made it for my mother-in-law's birthday.

Next I have the present I made her. When I was home recovering for 2 weeks from a surgery I had, I made many different things (hardly any cards, though!) and this is one of the items I made. First you have the "daytime" photo without the lights turned on inside the block. Next you have the "night-time" photo with the lights on. I think it turned out kind of cute and she loved it, so that is what matters!

I hope you enjoyed my little bit of creativity today! Have a blessed day! ~H

I'm back!!!

Good morning! I'm so glad you've stopped by! It's been so long since I've made a card or anything and I'm so excited that I was able to spend some time at my crafting desk last night!
Diane at Diane's Daydream Designs has some amazing new sets! One of my favorite is the adorable little campers from the On The Move Color Set! I've paired up one of the little campers with paper from the At The Beach KD Kit, which I also used to make the flags on the banner, and a library card from the Bright Library Cards Set. I also used a sentiment from the On The Move Sentiment Set. Of course I used stickles to make is sparkle! It wouldn't be my creation if it didn't have some sparkle to it! I love how it turned out! I hope you do, too!
You can pick up any of these sets used or any of Diane's other awesome products at her store

Have a blessed day!

Neglect...

And this is what neglect of your blog looks like! I feel so bad that I haven't kept up with it lately, but so much is going on in our lives that I just haven't had time. However, there is light at the end of this dark tunnel...I'm a little over half way unpacked at the new house and I have the opportunity to decorate my new craft room! Here are a couple photos of it's current look:

Any suggestions for how to decorate this plain room? Remember, all my furniture is white because my old room was the most gorgeous blue with white accents. :)

I've got a card making weekend planned with a good friend at the end of this month, so hopefully I'll have some new material to show you! Come back in August and we'll start all over, how does that sound?
Blessings! ~H

Something new to look at on my blog!

Good afternoon! I wanted to get a new card up here that I made a while back! I used Charliene Cowgirl by Clearly iStamps. I got her as a digital stamp, but not sure where to find them now! I made this card for a young friend from church. She really loved it! I hope you enjoy, too!

Blessings! ~H

PS I wanted to let you know that my craft room will be closed for about a month or so. We're moving and it's the first room to be packed and the last one to be unpacked. (insert sad face here) But never fear I WILL be back! Have a blessed month!

Beary Wishes DT First Post

Hello friends!
Today I'm sharing with you the Mother's Day card I made for my mom (it's ok, she doesn't read my blog unless I tell her to, so she won't see it early). I've used Beary Wishes "Hydrangea Bauble" (it's my favorite!) & colored it in purple, which my mom loves. I hope you enjoy it and will visit her shop to find your own favorite image!

I also wanted to thank everyone for helping me shower my little cousin with cards of blessings! They are on their way to her now and she should get them in a few days! Her surgery went well and I'm excited that she didn't even have to go to rehab! That is awesome! Thank your for your prayers for her and her family.

Have a blessed day and come back soon for more fun cards!

Prayers & Cards for Isabel

Good morning, friends! I hope everyone is staying warm! We had some snow during the night and morning and I think it's just crazy that when I went to church yesterday morning, I was so hot because it was 70 degrees! Now, it's barely above freezing!

I have a 2 part request today. First, I'm asking for prayer for my 11 year old cousin who is having her second brain surgery tomorrow. She has CMV and they are hoping this second surgery will help her to not have seizures every day. It won't prevent them from happening, but it will help them not be as often. The first brain surgery she had a few years ago has lessened the intensity of the seizures. So, I'm asking for prayer for Isabel and for her parents and the doctors.

The second part of my request is that I'd like to send her something special and I thought if any of you have any little thinking of you cards laying around that maybe you could send me with a special note to her in it? Or if you know of anyone who likes to send cards to people, ask them to send one to her? Her name is Isabel and you can send them to my address. I'll be sending a package of cards from some at my church as well, probably next week sometime. (and as more come in, I will send them on to her) If you are able to, I would be so grateful! If you can't, please say a prayer or two for her. Those are much more needed and appreciated more than you'll ever know on this earth!

Thank you!!!

Here is the address:

Puzzle Card

Good morning! I'd like to share a card with you today that I made for a friend on one of my design teams. I saw this little image at Kadoodle Bug Designs and immediately thought of her! The paper I got last year for a "Hope for Brady" blog train (unfortunately, they didn't put their name on the background, so I don't know which designer it is from! Here is a link to the beginning of the blog train this year, though! )

Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a blessed day!

Here are the cards I made for the blog hop:
Card 1:
I cut out and popped up the poppies (oh my goodness, the irony of that! lol).
I also put stickles on the middle and lines of the poppies and used liquid pearls
around the scallop edges of the green circle behind the poppies.
The paper and image are from the new "Poppies for You" set!
Aren't the new releases fun? And perfect for Mother's Day!
(I cased the card from It's a Stamp Thing.)

Card 2:
I cut out and popped up the butterfly on this one and you can't see all the
sparkle on the bee and butterfly, but they are sparkly!!! I also used rhinestones on the butterfly & flower.
The paper and images are from the new "Doodle Garden" set!
I just love the whimsical design of this set!

Card 3:
(I left it blank so you can imagine your own possibilities of using a journal card!)
I used lots of rhinestones and some stickles to make the butterfly sparkle!
The paper is from the new "Doodle Garden" set and the journal card is from the new
"Doodle Garden Journal Card/Photo Mat" set!
Loving this set so much!

I wonder, do you think I love this Doodle Garden set or what?!? lol

Here is your "freebie" from Diane's Daydream Designs!
It's a journal card from the "Doodle Garden Journal Card Set" Enjoy!

***FREEBIE EXPIRED***

I've used the Valentine Card Kit to make these adorable mini cards! I cut out some elements of each card front and raised them using mounting squares, I've used pearls as accents as well as stickles and glossy accents on various parts of the cards. I used embroidery floss to make the banner string on the banner card and "antiqued" the edges with my colorbox liquid chalk in chestnut.
I just love the way these cards turned out can can't wait to use them!

Here are the card individually so you can see more of the elements closer up!
