Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge

Woo Hoo! It's almost spring! But even better than that, today is a new challenge from Stampin Sisters in Christ! This challenge is brought to us by the incredibly talented Pamela! The verse she chose for inspiration is Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Her challenge "You have free reign of what you want to do this week. But here's the deal: I want you to actively do this as an act of worship to our God. Before starting, pray. Thank God for your gift. While working, feel free to pray more, or perhaps sing out to Him. Put your focus on Him and remember that it is He who gave you your gift and remember that it makes Him happy to see you at work. Do this challenge, as if you were doing it for Christ himself!" Wow. Making a gift for the One who gave us the ultimate gift. He gave everything so that we could live with Him for eternity. What an incredible gift!

Our sponsor this week is Christian Paper Crafts and they've donated an adorable stamp set! Check out all the awesome items they have in their on-line store!

For my creation for this week, I used dp by K & Co. The brads are some I've had forever. The stamps used are by Inky Impressions (thank you Lisa!), SU, Imaginisce, Inkadinkado, Stampabilities & SonLight Impressions (from 1989!). I used Prismacolors & Copics to color and some stickles for sparkle! I used my nesties to cut out the small card.

About half way through this project, I felt as though I needed to give it to Haley, our Pastor's daughter. She's the sweetest thing. She's in the 5th or 6th grade and they've only been here for 7 months, but she has adjusted so well. I just wanted to let her know how special she is to those around her.
Well, without further ado...her's what I made this week! I hope you enjoy it!

I also filled the drawers with little goodies for her. This was the most fun project I've ever made!

Please join us for this very special challenge this week at Stampin Sisters in Christ! You'll be so glad you did!

Blessings!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge

Good morning from St. Louis! We're attending the winter TEAM conference and it's awesome!

Well, it's that time again, another fun challenge from Stampin Sisters in Christ! Here's the details:

Scripture: Esther 4:14 “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”

Challenge: Make a project using a time piece or in some way denoting time

Hostess: Super sweet Laurie <--talented designer and awesome encourager!

Sponsor: Designed2Delight <--AWESOME Digi stamps! Please be sure to check them out! I'm sure with their variety EVERYONE will find something they want!

Our challenge was to use a "timepeice" in our card/project. Well, that was VERY difficult, as I don't own a single timepiece stamp and most of them you see are very elegant or vintage and as you well know, if you're a follower of my blog....I'm too cutsey! So, amazingly enough, I found this image and, since it is a clock, Laurie graciously agreed to let me use it for this challenge! Thanks, Laurie! Here's my card:

CS-SU
DP-My Mind's Eye
Image & sentiment-printed on computer
Embellishments-stickles & buttons from my misc drawer

The song "Time Is" by D.C. Talk kept coming to mind every time I thought about this challenge! It's a great song, so if you need something to run through your head for a while, check it out!

I can't wait to see what YOU create for this Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge!

Blessings!

Stampin Sisters in Christ

Welcome to another wonderful challenge with Stampin Sisters in Christ! Here's the important information!
Scripture: 1 John 4:10 "This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins."
Challenge: Valentines day make a card or project for someone you love letting them know how much God loves them
Hostess: Awesomely talented - Ceal of Simply Beautiful <-- EXACTLY what her creations are BEAUTIFUL!
Sponsor: Simon Says Stamp <-- They have a ton of fun stamping supplies from stamps to embellishments to magazines CHECK THEM OUT HERE You'll be glad you did!
So, for my project, I made sort of an explosion box. I got this idea from Susanne Dean. I used a bunch of scrap pieces of paper I had laying around to make this. The stamps I used were from Stampin Up. I wrote the verse with a black pen & highlighted some words in SU chalk. I used some stickles on this project, too. I hope you enjoy it!

The outside says "How much are you loved?"

This is the insdie. It has John 3:16 on the 2 sides and it has a stamp that says "Jesus loves you" on the side you can't really see.
Join us at Stampin Sisters in Christ and share your creations that show Christ's love!

Blessings!

LaLa Land Challenge

The challenge this week at LaLa Land Crafts is to make a card without using designer paper, only using cardstock. They've got the cutest little stamp as the prize this week and I REALLY want to win it! I don't own a single LaLa yet!

So, what I've created is this little Easter card using a digi stamp from Whimsie doodles as the main image and the other images were stamps I picked up at Michael's for $1 last year. The pink & purple cardstock is by Stampin Up and the blue is just a piece I had laying around. I used some copics & watercolors to color my images. I then used metallic gel pens on the small eggs in the basket & inside the letters of Easter, then I used stickles in various matching colors in some areas. On the pink cardstock I used an empossing panel by Fiskars. I ran it through my cuttlebug with an embossing pad. On the blue, I used the swiss dots embossing folder, then cut it out with a large scallopped circle nestie, then cut it in half, so the bunny girl could sit on it. I used mounting squares to pop up the images & sentiment. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog today!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge

Hi there! Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Today's Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge was a lot of fun! Randi's challenge was to make ONE card/lo/project using TWO of everything that you use. I've used 2 dp's by K & Co., 2 colors of rik-rak, 2 pearls, 2 nestie cutouts, 2 bears digi image (not sure who it's by) & 2 colors of stickles for my 1 card. The scripture for today's challenge is Mark 10: 7-9 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not seperate." (NASB) Without futher ado, here's my card:

Be sure to stop by the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge blog to see what the other dt has created and to enter your "The two shall become one" challenge today! I can't wait to see what you've created!
