I got a new cuttlebug embossing folder and just HAD to use it! This pretty ribbon is left over from my wedding 8 years ago! I hold on to everything!!! lol

It's with a sad heart that I tell you this, but today is my last challenge as a DT member for Word Art Wednesday. I need some time and Karen and the team are so wonderful for understanding my need to step down. I hope you'll keep coming by my blog to visit me and also that you keep playing along with Word Art Wednesday!!!

Have a blessed day!

Our adoption blog

I know many of you are already follow my family's adoption blog, but I just had to share this with all of you as well...
We had our second home study visit yesterday and we're done with it and the social worker said he is recommending us for approval! We are so excited!
Our next step is to find our little one. We've chosen the "word-of-mouth" process rather than an agency process because we want to be a blessing to one person and her family rather than paying an agency to "find and match" us with someone, even though we have been approved through 2 agencies as well, if we ever choose to change our minds.
If you're interested in reading our story or following our progress or if you know of anyone in a situation where they are looking for adoptive parents for their baby, please visit our family's adoption blog: Building Our Ark: Our Journey to Adopt
Have a blessed day!

Imagine That Progressing Challenge #2

Good morning! Are you ready for spring?
I love the snow, but I'm ready for some warmer weather now!

To celebrate spring I'm entering the progressive challenge at Imagine That!

The image this week was an adorable little Irish girl set and wording circle. I used Kathleen for my card. I just couldn't resist making her hair different colors! The hair in this image is spaced just perfect for this and it's so fun to be different! lol

I hope you enjoy my card and will join the challenge at Imagine That! Don't forget to stop by the Imagine That! store so you can pick up this adorable little gal or any of the other awesome digis or paper from Imagine That!

Have a blessed day!

Word Art Wednesday - 1 Corinthians 2:9b

Good morning! Welcome to Word Art Wednesday! Today's verse is 1 Corinthians 2:9b.
You can get this verse from the Word Art Wednesday blog if you'd like to use it in our challenge or you can enter our challenge by using an uplifting or encouraging sentiment on your creation.

This week's sponsors:

This week was a bit challenging for me. I wasn't finding a connection with the verse and a card. So after praying about it for days, I decided to make a digital creation and as I began to make it I was urged to focus on the last half of the verse "...which God hath prepared for them that love Him." My son is preparing to graduate high school and I felt led to make a scrapbook page with his senior pictures on it. I hope you enjoy!

I can't wait to see what you've created for this week's Word Art Wednesday challenge!

Have a blessed week!

Grateful

Good afternoon! This week we turned in the rest of our paperwork for our Adoption Home Study. We had to ask 3 peole to write reference letters for us and so I wanted to make them each a special thank you card for doing this for us. This is the first one I created. I got my inspiration from a card someone posted on pinterest, though mine looks quite a bit different.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a blessed week-end!

Our gracious sponsors this week are:

For my creation I used our sponsor, Jelly Park's "Girl on a Swing" Isn't she cute??

I colored the little girl & swing with copics, added a little bit of stickles to her bow, dress hem line, neck line & sleeves and added some glossy accents to her shoes. I used some scrap paper for the back mats and added some rhinestones. There ya have it!

I can't wait to see what you create for the Word Art Wednesday challenge!
Have a blessed week!
