Kick Up Your Hooves!

Good morning! It's time for another awesome challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ, so let's get started!

Hostess:
The most fun girl, Jerusha

Scripture:
Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Challenge:
Create something that reflects you - you are God's masterpiece!

Sponsor:
Clear Dollar Stamps - They have such fun stamps and they even have some in digi, too! Be sure to stop by and let them know how awesome they are for sponsoring SSiC this week!

My Card:
I've wanted this stamp for a long time, and since Clear Dollar is our sponsor this week, I wanted to support them, so I bought it! She's called Charlene Cowgirl. She comes with this sentiment and a few other sentiments as well as cowboy boots and horseshoes and swirls. I used the cowboy boots to put on her hoofs. Aren't they adorable?!? Jerusha wanted us to make something that is "us" so I kept it simple, used lots of stickles, used a variety of colors and tried to make it colorful and bright. My name means "light" so I wanted to encorporate the color yellow to show some light. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Father's Day to any dad's checking in! Have a blessed day!

Stampin Sisters in Christ - Challenge #142

Good morning! What a wonderful day for a stamping challenge, don't you think? Well, today at Stampin Sisters in Christ I get to be your challenge hostess! It's my first one since joining the team a couple months ago and I'm so excited to share with you what the Lord has laid on my heart! Let's get started!
Vesrse:
1 John 3:18 "Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other, let us show the truth by our actions" NLT
Challenge:
1) image showing action OR 2) an image only on the front of your card (no sentiment on the front) OR 3) action card (make it move)

Sponsor:
OH, they have such adorable images! Stop by and thank them for sponsoring us this week!
Some words from my heart to yours:
We’ve all heard the phrase “actions speak louder than words” and we all know what it means. But how do we take that old, over used phrase that has probably lost it’s meaning along the way and make it really apply to our lives today? My husband’s good friend/mentor and Best Selling Author, Tim Marks rephrases it a little differently. He says “What you do speaks so loudly, what you say I cannot hear.” It’s so true! If we punch someone in the face and at the same time say “I love you” our words are meaningless because we’ve just hurt the person with our actions! We’re commanded to share Christ’s love with others and this means more than just “lip service.” We have to do this with our actions, our service toward one another. How we treat people says a whole lot more about Christ than words alone. Take some time today to do something for someone to show them how much you love them. Send them a card, pick up their shoes & put them away, help them carry in groceries, bring them a nice cold drink on these hot days, be available for them when they need a helping hand or ear to listen, anything that says “I love you.” Let’s love with our actions and not just our words.
And, finally, my card:
I've used an image from our wonderful sponsor this week called Cool Waitress. Isn't she so much fun?!? Just look at her on those skates and she's serving with a smile!  You can't see it, but I put her on a "wobble" so when you tap her, she shakes. It's kind of fun to watch. I'll try to get photos of it to share next week. Thanks for stopping by today! Have a blessed day!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #141

Welcome to the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #141! I'm so excited to share this challenge with you, so let's get started!
Bible Verse:
Isaiah 40:26— “Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.”
Hostess:
The lovely Diane
Challenge:
Create a card that depicts any element of heaven—angels, music, clouds, sun, stars, blue, glitter, Scripture about heaven or God’s glory, a house (heaven is our real home/ we will have a mansion waiting for us)...glittery flowers, butterflies (earth will be restored).

Sponsor:
Market Street Stamps - ooohhh, such awesome stamps! Be sure to stop by and see what they've got and thank them for sponsoring our challenge today!
When Diane said her challenge was to depict any element of heaven, I automatically though clouds and angels. There no more perfect stamps to use for this card!
This was such fun to make, too! Enjoy!

My card today features Market Street Stamps "Ain't No Sunshine"
(clouds and sun, can you see the glittery clounds in the background, too?)
and Magnolia's Waterlilly Tilda and also lots of stickles!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a blessed week!
