Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge

Welcome to another Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge! Here are the details, then a message from the hostess!

Scripture: Matthew 18:4
Challenge: To make a card or other project featuring a child or child-like things
Hostess: ME!
Sponsor: Mo's Digital Pencil I LOVE these images! They are positively ADORABLE!
Message: I just love children! They are so precious and wonderful! So, I wanted a verse & challenge about children. But, when I picked my verse I don’t think I was paying much attention. What I was going for was something along the lines of how blessed and precious children are and how we should treat them and protect them and care for them. When studying Matthew 18, I found that God just might have a different plan for this message! What I learned is that verses 1-6 tell a completely different message than I thought. The disciples are arguing about which one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven and Jesus tells them that anyone who humbles himself as a child is the greatest. It does speak of how we should be treating children, but just as important as that, it tells us to be humble as the child. What does that really mean? One definition of humble at dictionary.com is “not proud or arrogant; modest”. When I think of children, I think of the innocence and the faith they have. They think that everyone is wonderful and they are interested in everything! They genuinely care about others. They know what it is to dream and have huge faith. They know how to forgive. It isn’t about being better or having more than anyone else, it’s about becoming humble and serving others. It’s about sharing Jesus with everyone and loving Him with all our heart. That’s what these verses say to me.

Here's my card:

I used some dp scraps I had laying around and then this adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil called "Two Jill" Isn't she too cute?!? I printed the sentiment, used pearls and rhinestones that I picked up from Michael's as well as liquid pearls from my LSS and some ribbon that I've had forever! I also used a little stickles on the crowns of Jill's shirt and the barettes in her hair.

I do hope you'll join our challenge this week! I can't wait to see your creation!
Blessings!

Scripture: 1 Peter 1:23 (NIV) "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God."
Hostess: PeggySue of Roses by My Window Wow! God has really blessed Ms. PeggySue with an abundance of talent! She's uber talented and super sweet!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge

Happy Sunday morning to you! Today's another wonderful day in the Lord with an awesome new challenge from Stampin Sisters in Christ!

Scripture: Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
Hostess: The lovely and very creative Candace
Challenge: Create a card or project focused on the "home". For example a housewarming card or decor for the home.
Sponsor: Layers of Color and one of you could win a beautiful stamp set from them!

This is my project:

I can't tell you which brand of paper I used but the blue is what is on the back side of the patterned paper. I printed the verse and flower on my printer using power point. I used black and white pearls that I purchaced from Michaels. The paper also came from Michaels. You can't really see them, but there are black pearls in the corners.

Stop by Stampin Sisters in Christ and see the other beautiful creations our DT memebers have created! You will be delighted!

Have a wonderful week!

Blessings!

KLSNS Color Challenge

Whew! I think I'm just in time to enter this challenge at KLSNS! It's a pink/black/neutral color challenge. What fun and wonderful colors! Here's the card I created:

It really is pink & black, not brown! I used a digi image, but I don't remember where I got it! She's so fun, though, don't you think? I used Bo Bunny paper, my small flower punch by Marvy, lots of stickles and even some liquid pearls & dew drops. The sentiment is by craftsmart, I picked it up at Michaels this week for $1.
Be sure to stop by KLSNS and see what everyone else has come up with!

Blessings!
