Welcome to another Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge! Here are the details, then a message from the hostess!
Scripture: Matthew 18:4
Challenge: To make a card or other project featuring a child or child-like things
Hostess: ME!
Sponsor: Mo's Digital Pencil I LOVE these images! They are positively ADORABLE!
Message: I just love children! They are so precious and wonderful! So, I wanted a verse & challenge about children. But, when I picked my verse I don’t think I was paying much attention. What I was going for was something along the lines of how blessed and precious children are and how we should treat them and protect them and care for them. When studying Matthew 18, I found that God just might have a different plan for this message! What I learned is that verses 1-6 tell a completely different message than I thought. The disciples are arguing about which one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven and Jesus tells them that anyone who humbles himself as a child is the greatest. It does speak of how we should be treating children, but just as important as that, it tells us to be humble as the child. What does that really mean? One definition of humble at dictionary.com is “not proud or arrogant; modest”. When I think of children, I think of the innocence and the faith they have. They think that everyone is wonderful and they are interested in everything! They genuinely care about others. They know what it is to dream and have huge faith. They know how to forgive. It isn’t about being better or having more than anyone else, it’s about becoming humble and serving others. It’s about sharing Jesus with everyone and loving Him with all our heart. That’s what these verses say to me.
Here's my card:
I used some dp scraps I had laying around and then this adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil called "Two Jill" Isn't she too cute?!? I printed the sentiment, used pearls and rhinestones that I picked up from Michael's as well as liquid pearls from my LSS and some ribbon that I've had forever! I also used a little stickles on the crowns of Jill's shirt and the barettes in her hair.
I do hope you'll join our challenge this week! I can't wait to see your creation!
Blessings!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge...
Happy New Year! Aren't new beginnings wonderful? I'm always reminded at this time of year about the new beginning I was given over 25 years ago...We all come into this world as sinners and when I was 9, I got the most wonderful new beginning possible. That's when I decided to accept God's free gift of salvation. His Son, Jesus, was born in a stable and died on a cross for me and for you. All we have to do to get our new beginning is to believe this and accept the gift of salvation that He's given us.
Today's Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge is all about new beginnings!
Hostess: The lovely and super talented Laurie Gatton
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
Challenge: To make a baby card or a card for a new believer
Sponsor: Angela Doescher of Sew Many Cards <-- check them out! They have some awesome digital images! So cute!
I chose of of Angel's baby images to use on my card. Isn't it adorable? The cs background is by Bo Bunny, light blue cs is from my stash and I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder on it. I also embossed the white cs I used with the sentiment on it. I used stickles around the pink cs "flower" and I used a pink glittery gel pen on the dots on the blanket. Oh! My new embelishment is dew drops and I used 3 of them on this cards. They are awesome!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I created this card for the controller of the company I work for. She loves my cards and loves margarita's and when I saw this image on Whimsie Doodles and just had to use it for her card! The blue paper I used is from my scraps, the white is from SU and the silver is from the LSS, no brand indicated. I used fun flock on the sheep and stickles for the "sparkling juice" in the glass. I also used glossy accents on the hoofs and in the middle of the olives. The other stamps I belive are from Hero arts and I outlined them with a silver glittery pen, then drew some squiggles. So fun! Have a wonderful week-end!
Blessings!
