Halloween Wreath

Happy Halloween Wreath!
Here's the wreath I promised. It might not look like much, but I hand tied each little piece of tulle onto it and it took a whole roll! I LOVE tulle! Actually, the more I look at it, the cuter I think it is! Enjoy!
Have a great week-end!

Tip Junkie handmade projects

EDITED TO ADD:
I used a brass metal circle thing used for sewing to tie the tulle around. You can get them at any craft store, but I think I got mine on sale at JoAnns for like a quarter or something. :) Hope this helps!

This crazy life of mine

Hello to those of you who are still connected to and reading my greatly lacking blog! I apologize that it's been so long since I've done anything and that my posts are so far apart! I've been dealing with a lot of things lately, from a teenager who doesn't seem motivated to even brush his teeth to the brutal death of one of my favorite cousins to the surgery to break up my ever loving kidney stones (I like to tell people that "my rock band is getting liposuction" lol <--That's happening on Thursday!). I have made a few cards lately, but photographing them hasn't happened. I've been doing it more as a requested job rather than a fun hobby. My mind has just been elsewhere. With that being said, I've made a decision about my blog. No, I'm not going to quit it! I'm just going to change it up! I've been wanting to make things other than cards, so I'm going to start posting all my crafting and baking and computer generated works and other things about my life here. I hope that sounds ok to all of you!

So let me tell you what you'll be seeing next:
I'm working on a Halloween wreath right now and it's soooo cute! I'm hoping to get it finished later this week, since I'll be sitting around for a couple of days healing. I can't wait to post the photographs of the finished product! It's going to be awesome!

Thank you for stopping in today! May the rest of your week be blessed!
Blessings!

This week they want you to submit the first card you ever made using one of their images and since I never published this one on my blog, I thought now might be a good time. I'm going to enter it in their contest where someone will win a free image! Enjoy the simplicity!

Question about Cricut

Hey everyone out there in blogger land! I have a question! I have a cricut, just a small one, but I want to be able to use cutting files from other places. Can someone tell me how this can be done? I've heard of "Sure-Cuts-A-Lot" but according to their website, they do not support Cricut machines. What does this mean? Can I still use SCAL with my cricut or can I not use it? HELP! I want to do so much more with my Cricut and I don't want my husband to think he made a mistake in purchasing it because I'm so limited on what I  can do with it! Thanks for any and all comments/help you can give me!
Have a wonderful week-end!
Blessings!

"Bee-lated" Birthday Card

Good morning! I apologize for not having posted in so long! Life has gotten really busy this summer and being sick and not wanting to do anything didn't help! It's really bad when you don't even want to go into your favorite place in the house, you craft room! But, I'm feeling tons better and was able to make 3 cards in one hour the other night! Woo Hoo! Anyway, here's a simple "Bee-lated" birthday card I made for a girl at work who's birthday we celebrated a little late. I thought the bees on this paper were perfect for this card!

Enjoy and have a blessed day!

Summer Marci

Happy Wednesday to you! Here's a little sunshine to brighten your day! I've used Beach Marci to make this fun little birthday card for my niece. My favorite thing about digi's is that you can make them bigger or smaller to fit your specific project. In this case, I needed her a little smaller. The background was a freebie digi by Pholkart. I used stickles to make various parts of the card sparkle. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by today! May your day be filled with many blessings!

Patriotic Tilda

Oh my goodness! I bought this Tilda with Hawaiian flower in hair a couple weeks ago and finally got to use her! I made this patriotic Tilda card for my June Magnolia-Licious yahoo group mingle. It's so much fun to be part of this group! If you look closely at Tilda, you can see many sparkles, including her sparkly red slippers! (I'm from KS, so I LOVE red sparkly shoes!) Hope you enjoy her, mingle partner!
Tilda can be purchased from Magnolia-Licious

Mud on My Face

Do you sometime forger important things and feel like you have "mud on your face"? Well, I forgot to send our Pastor's son a birthday card last week, so I made this one for him! Carly had a fun sketch this week on her blog and I wanted to see what I could do with it, then while shopping the other day I found these little fun shaped puffy stickers that were perfect! Then I found this little bear digi from Bugaboo and knew exactly what I wanted to do with Carly's fun sketch!
Isn't this little bear adorable with mud all over him?!? I was very pleased at how perfect everything came together for this card, first the sketch, then the stickers, then the occasion, and finally the image!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! You should join Carly's challenge if you haven't already! I'm sure she would love to see what you've created using her sketch! OH! I almost forgot! She's giving away and adorable elephant digi that she drew, too, if you join her challenge this week! Hurry, you only have another day to join!
Have a blessed day!

My Sister, My Friend

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a card with you that features an image by Whimsey and Stars Studio called "Best Friends" Aren't they sweet? I also used a pennant stamp I picked up in the Michaels $1 bin a few weeks ago. I thought it was fun with this paper. These flowers were also purchased at Michaels, most of them in the $1 bins! The pearls are by Basic. The paper....I'm so sorry I can't remember who it's by and I always forget to write it down! I know I got it at my local scrapbook store! I hope you enjoy my creation today!

Cards for Gabby

Happy Monday morning to you! I'm here to ask a favor! My friend's 11 year old niece, Gabby, is having surgery on her back this week for Spina Bifida and I was hoping to maybe get a few cards gathered up to send to her. She's getting 2 rods and a bunch of screws put into her spine to help make it straghter. Gabby's been through a lot, she's had Lukemia and other issues and now this. I know she's very strong and obviously this little girl has a HUGE purpose for being on this earth still! Could you spare a card this week for her? I don't have anything to offer, except my thanks for helping me make this little girl feel special. If you can send her a card, please e-mail me for my address: stampinwithelen at hotmail dot com and if you could pass the word along to others, that would be awesome! Thank you and have a wonderfully blessed day!

Bugaboo Challenge...

Bugaboo digi's are some of my favorite! They have clean lines and large spaces and are usually sort of whimsicle. This month over at their challenge blog, they are having an "anything goes" challenge. I've been wanting to enter one of their challenges and now I am finally able to! I made this card for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. I put together 2 different Bugaboo stamps, Deacon Heart and Ava Heart. I used Deacon twice. I colored them to match our family. My MIL loved it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Oh the Places Marci will go

There's a contest going on over at Lala Land Crafts to make anything with their images, other than a card. I LOVE those little Marci's that they have out now so I wanted to do something really cool to showcase how awesome they are to use. I hope you found those little magnetic paper dolls as cute and as fun as I do. I've even created a book to go along with them, so little Marci can go places. Here are the pictures.
As you can see, the extra clothes are magnetic and so is Marci, so they stick together. Magnetic paper is from Hobby Lobby and Office Depot. I've used little scraps of dp to make all the little dresses. The Marci's I've used are: Ballerina Marci, Bed Time Marci, Fancy Marci and Marci with Rose.
Blessings!

D2D Polka Dot Flower Pot

Well, hello there! Thanks for stopping by! Today's card uses a digi image from Designed 2 Delight's Bloom, Grow, Dream set. It was a free image from their monthly challenge. I think it's so pretty!

I've used scraps for this card! Some pearls left over from another project, those lovely roses that I got from a garage sale and paper scraps. I think I save EVERY little bit of paper I've ever touched! lol That's why I can use "scraps" so often!

Thanks for coming by! Have a wonderful day!

Just For You, Mom

Good morning! Today I have another Mother's Day card to share with you! This one features Tilda holding a bouquet behind her back. Isn't she darling with flowers for mom? If you want her check out the Magnolia-Licious store! I don't think she's in stock, but if she's available, I bet Diana would be willing to order one for ya!

Those little roses on the right are ones I picked up at a garage sale last summer! Isn't it crazy that someone would get rid of those gorgeous little things?!? :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Bat Boy Saves the Day!

Happy Administrative Professional Assistant's Day! Today we got flowers from our boss and tomorrow he's taking us to lunch! Isn't that sweet of him? I think so!

Well, today I have my first Mother's Day card to share with you! This card was a very specific request from a lady I work with. She wanted to duplicate as best we could, a photo of her son in a batman costume with this exact pose! The photo isn't too great, so I apologize for that. It really is much brighter than it's appearing! I used Star Boy Luka from Lala Land Crafts and put a batman emblem on his shirt and as his belt buckle and removed his mask. I used a cuttle bug embossing folder to make the circles on the black background and Martha Steward button punch for the black buttons, then I got some real yellow buttons at JoAnn's to put inside the black ones. Lisa said "It's perfect and looks just like Zac!"

Isn't he just adorable?!?

Thanks for stopping in today! Have a blessed evening!

Another Tilda with Balloon Card

Do you ever get a stamp that you just use, and use, and use and you begin to think that you have nothing else in your collection becaus that stamp is perfect for EVERYTHING? Well, I think that's where I'm at with balloon Tilda! lol She's so adorable and I just LOVE using her! You can pop up that balloon and she's ready for any celebration! I was in a "dottie" mood when I made this card.

I've seen where people are putting different colors around their image and I think it's so beautiful and FINALLY I decided to try what I thought might work. I used my light blue water color pencil and colored all around Tilda & her balloon and then used my water pen to blend it out. I think it looks pretty!

I'm going to enter this in the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge, which is to make a card for a chile this week. Wouldn't this card be perfect to cheer up a young girl? Or to tell her "Happy Birthday"?

Thanks for coming by today! Have a blessed afteroon!

Flowers, Flowers and more Flowers!

Good afternoon everyone! I have another card to share with you already!
This one was specifically made for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challege this week. The challenge was to use a stamped flower on your card. So, I thought, why stop with just one? Let's stamp many! lol
This flower dress & sentiment are by Stampin' Up. The beautiful green paper is by Bazzill. The stripped paper and flowers were scraps from my card earlier this week. The pearls were just a few I had left over. I used diamond stickles to make all the flowers on the dress sparkle.
I love this card! I brought it to work to photograph it and the first person who saw it asked to buy it! :)
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a blessed day!

Lucky Bird

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! Today I'm sharing with you a card I made for my little 4 year old friend, Kaitlyn, who is the proud big sister of 5 day old Kinsley. I saw this paper at my local scrapbook store and fell in love with it! One side is the rain boots and the other is the multi-colored stripes. What's even better is the next day after purchasing this paper, I found this free digi at Designed 2 Delight! What a perfect match! I was so uber excited to make this card! I'm going to enter it in the challenge Faith has going at D2D.
Fun card, isn't it? See the little puffed up flower? I punched it out of the paper I used then used my fingernail to puff up the petals! Cute, huh? I'm sure you'll be seeing more of those in a few days... :) I had these pearls just laying around and I picked up this fun ribbon from Michael's a while back and had never used it! Not sure you can really see the stickles I used, but each stripe on the bird's leg and each polka dot on the boots has stickles. The paper is by Three Bugs in a Rug from their April Showers line.
Wanna know the best part of this card? Kaitlyn has boots EXACTLY like the ones the bird is wearing!
Have a blessed day!

Babies and Buttons

Good afternoon! I finally have another card to share with you! This card was made for some friends who just had a baby girl this week. Momma loves polka dots, so I thought this paper from Echo Park was the perfect choice. I stamped a onsie by Katie & Co on the dp and cut it out. Isn't it the cutest thing ever? I've done a ton of them this week because they are so darn cute! lol Anyway, the pink cs is by Bazzill. I also used stickles on various places. The sweet baby stamp is also by Katie & Co. The first picture taken of the new baby shows her with a huge bow in her hair, so I thought this tulle would make the perfect bow for this card. Enjoy!

I'm entering this in the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge, which is to use 3 buttons on your card. I haven't entered a challenges in ages and I'd forgotten how fun it is!

Thanks for coming by today! Have a blessed day!

Balloon Tilda

I JUST CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE! I've been holding off on posting this card, because it's the birthday card for my most devoted blog reader, but unfortunately, the postal service is not gettig it to her quick enough! Anyway, Kris, don't look further if you want to see it in the mail first! And, I hope you had a wonderful birthday on Saturday!
So, this card is ENTIRELY because of her! I fell in love with Magnolia stamps because she introduced me to them, I learned to do this cool thing where you raise part of the image with mounting squares or pop dots (can't remember the name, but I did this to the balloon Tilda is holding and everyone LOVES it!) I have this blog because she helped me get it started. Kris has taught me so much and helped me throughout my journey to find my talent in making cards and I just want to say "thanks" You're a wonderful friend and crafting mentor!
I've can't remember who this paper is by, but I LOVE it, so I've kept every scrap I've had of it! This is a new Tilda with Balloon stamp. Isn't she so pretty? The little candle & sentiment stamp I got at Michaels YEARS ago. I used a bit of stickles on various places, but not too much, because I didn't want to take away from the softness of Tilda. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my card and again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KRISTINE! :)
Blessings!

Valentine Gifts

Today I'm sharing little paper purses that I made using my coluzzle purse template. I've used some K & Co. valentine's papers that I got at Michaels a year or so back and rhinestones that I purchased from the Michael's $1 bin. I also made the little charms from some clear stickers that I got from a dollar store a long time ago! I used some scrap paper with cute little valentine animals on it for the charm. I hope you enjoy!

Oh! I will have a card to share with you later this week or early next that I've decided is uber adorable! I used my brand new Tilda stamp on it! I've shared it at work and have orders for 5 just like it already! lol Come back for another visit soon!

Blessings!

Ballerina Marci

Welcome friends! Today I'm sharing with you a card I made using Ballerina Marci from Lala Land Crafts. We went to a holiday party hosted by a Conservatory instructor, so I wanted to make her the perfect thank you card and I think this is it!
Again, I've used some scraps from my papr stash, but I think it looks awesome with Ballerina Marci! The flowers I purchased at a garage sale this summer and the rhinestones are from my lss. Fun, easy card! Oh, and this time I did color Marci! lol I'm uploading my card to the Lala Land Crafts Customer Gallery where I'll be entered for a chance to win one of their amazingly adorable stamps! You can do the same when you use one of their images on a card or project that you've created!
Have a wonderful week!

Hey, Good Lookin', What ya got cookin'?

Hi there! Today I have to share with you the "mingle" card I made for our January Mingle at the Magnolia-Licious Yahoo Group. I've decided after looking at this card, that it is ok to make simple cards. I think this one turned out lovely, without a bunch of extra stuff. However, what you don't see is all the stickles I used on the dp and Tilda! I'll have to work on the right angle for the sparkles to catch the light next time. Enjoy!

Kitchen Tilda can be purchased at Magnolia-Licious
DP is from DCWW packet called SWEET

Snowman Card

Hi! Long time, no see! Sorry I've been slacking. My goal is to have something to post on my blog at least ever other week this year, hopefully every week! Anyway, I wanted to share this cute little snowman card that I made. The paper I used was from some old scraps I had, but it just fit perfectly! I put some stickles on the little tree and red pearls on the side and a little organza bow. The snowman stamp is from Magnolia-Licious. He's got some sparkling elements that I used stickles to create. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
