Mermaid Tilda

I LOVE this little Mermaid Tilda that Monica sent to me with my Magnolia-Licious mingle card! Isn't she adorable? I chose this fun dp and bright flowers to put her with and made a birthday card for my sister! I also added some blue rhinestone flourishes, but they are a little hard to see in this picture. I also used glossy accents on Tilda's shell top and the bubbles and then I used diamond stickles on her fins & just a tad in her hair. I also like how the picture turned out with a little of the card reflecting on the shelf I had it sitting on.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Gone Fishin'

My apologies that this post will be VERY short. We're all a little under the weather at my house right now and we have a big party we're hosting tomorrow night, so we're trying to get everything done and trying to rest all at the same time! lol It doesn't work too well!

Tonight I have "Gone Fishin' " for you. I've used this week's super fun freebie from Faith at Designed 2 Delight and I've used the challenge at Double Delights, which was to use ribbon, twine or string. Carly also made a cute sketch for us to use at Double Delights, but I felt like I made my image too big to make it work. Don't forget to join in the fun!

Blessings...

Whew! This is my 3rd post for the day! If you're looking for the winner of my SSCC prize, go here. Now, on to this week's Designed 2 Delight and Double Delights challenges! Faith with D2D sent us this beautiful harvest pumpkin image and Kris challenged us to make a Clean And Simple card at DD. My apologies for the photograph quality. I think my camera is going south, and not just for the winter! I used kraft cs from Michaels, Faith's image, some scrap orange cs and this "blessings" stamp from Michaels. I used nesties to cut out the orange cs and the image. Here's the card:

Wow! You are such a fabulous writer! The words that you shared just flowed off of the screen and really ministered to my heart. The verse is so important. I didn't know it when I had to deal with my anorexia and bulimia. (I was Jewish, and we didn't memorize Scripture.) Now, I am dealing with my diabetes and a few other things...and this tells me...it promises me that I am "WONDERFULLY MADE!" THAT is an amazing realization! I have read this verse before, and it never resonated with me as it did today. Thank you for sharing this very fun and cool card, this amazing verse that I won't forget...and your generous and very fun blog candy! Thank you for giving us the chance to win. I already feel like I won today. This verse really touched my Spirit.Remember~He IS Able,Traci S.
Angella & Traci, please e-mail me your mailing address so I can get those goodies in the mail to you!
Thanks, again, everyone for all the wonderful uplifting comments. They truly blessed my socks off! :)

Stampin Sisters in Christ 1 year Blog Hop!!!

"I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
Psalm 139:14a

Our Birthday Blog hop starts today at the Stampin' Sisters in Christ blog! You'll want to start there and follow along. There are many blessings along the way and chances to win prizes, so we hope you'll join us! I'm honored that they've asked the alumni DT to participate in the blog hop as well as current DT members. All of the blog links will also be on the SSCC blog in case there's a break along the way. This is sure to be a blessed time for all who join in the fun! If you joined me from Chris' blog, then you're on the right track. If not, please start at the Stampin Sisters in Christ Blog so you will be able to be blessed by ALL the DT Sister's creations!

Today I want to share with you what I feel David is saying when he writes in Psalm 139:14a about how wonderfully he was made. God formed us in our mother's womb. He created us in His image, yet as an individual, not a duplicate. We are one of a kind, not one else is exactly like us. He has created every part of who we are, both outwardly and inwardly. God has the perfect blue print to our lives, to who we are. Each one of us is unique and special to Him. YOU ARE SPECIAL IN HIS SIGHT! And, YOU are fabulous!

My "unique & fabulous" creation today features a Sassy Cheryl digi on Cosmo Cricket dp. My fabulous friend has been colored with Prisma colors and parts of her oufit have been highlighted with stickles. The red rhinestones are by Basics, the flowers are from Michaels silk floral department and the sentiment is by Idea House designed for Studio G.

PRIZE TIME! Yes, I love to give away things! So, one random commenter (is that a real word?) on my blog will receive this "fabulous" card along with some stamped images of "unique" little people, some 6x6 dp, some flower brads and a few other embellishments! I'd love to know how this verse has spoken to you throughout your life. I will close this prize opportunity on Wednesday at 11:59pm and draw a winner on Thursday, so check back to see if you won!

Now, head on over to GRACE's blog to hear what the Lord has to say to you through her card & words. And don't forget to stop back by the Stampin Sisters in Christ blog for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to your choice of any one of our sponsor's stores!!!
God Bless You!

Lala Land Christmas Card Challenge

The challenge this week at Lala Land is to make a Christmas card and sadly, it's their last challenge! But, they've got something up their sleeve, so keep checking them out! I've used Birthday Marci on my card. I picked her up when she was available as a digi, but now you can only purchase her in rubber when she's released. I used kraft cs from Michaels, dp by Cosmo Cricket, pearls by Basics (check our her earrings!) & stickles.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Blessings!

Hmmm...

What do you do when you're out of time and you're not happy with the results you've gotten from your card? You enter anyway and hope that it's not as bad as you think! Really, it's not that bad, I just wish I would have used a second dp instead of using the same one on the same card twice. You'll see what I mean below...

So, on to brighter things! I won a stamp in the Lala Land Crafts Birthday Beach Blog Hop! I'm uber excited about that! It's a surprise stamp and I know I'm going to love it!

This week's Double Delights Challenge is a sketch challenge. You can see it here. The free image from Designed 2 Delight was this adorable little bear. I used Recollections dp from the mom's diner collection. It's called Pepper. The brown cs I used is also from Recollections. I used a scalloped circle punch to make circles in which I put non-scalloped circles of dp inside. I used buttons by Bo Bunny and pearls from Studio G. Enjoy and don't forget to join the challenges!!!

Heartfelt Winter Wishes

Good evening! Remember the title of my last post? "Try it, you might like it"? Well, I did try it and I did like it! I liked it so much that I made another shaker card for this week's Design 2 Delight & Double Delight challenges! The real challenge was to make your own embellishments, so I used a snowflake nestabilities to punch out these snowflakes and used one to look like a charm below my bow. I used Faith's free image of the week (the snowman & sentiment) and put him inside of a snowglobe digi that I found at Bird's Cards. I got this snowman in snowglobe idea from the Double Delights Challenge blog (Kathy put hers in a snowglobe, too!) and I used Kristine's idea of rubbing 2 pieces of styrofoam together to create "snow" to put inside the snowglobe (I even put a little on the outside). These ladies at Double Delights are a barrel full of awesome inspiration & ideas! I just love 'em both incredibly! The dp I used is by the Paper Studios and I also used stickles on the snowflakes to give them some sparkle. Enjoy!

Blessings!
