I'm giving away blog candy!

Ok, so here's the scoop:

Since my birthday was this past week and I love presents SO MUCH, I wanted to give a little "present" to someone! Here's a picture of what I am giving away:



It includes a variety of images (Magnolias, accessoires, Bellas & some Stampin' Up ones), some tag paper, some brads and some chipboard accessories. To get in the drawing, this is what you need to do:

1. Become a follower & leave a comment on this post (those already following only need to leave a comment) - this will get your name in the drawing once.

2. After you become a follower, if you post a link to my blog candy on your blog (or put it in your sidebar), or if you don't have a blog, e-mail your friends to check it out, then leave a second comment on this blog that you've done this - this will get you an additional chance at the drawing.

Christmas on my mind...

Well, it's past time to start Christmas cards, but I've finally got in gear! Here are 2 cards I made this week. I just love these stamps! I got some more images in the mail for Christmas, they are Miss Anya, so I'll get those up as soon as I get something made!

This is the Magnolia stamp I got from Cheryl when I won from her Magnolia-licious blog hop candy. Isn't she adorable??? Thanks, again, Cheryl for the wonderful card and awesome stamp!

This Whiff of Joy stamp is one I got for my birthday from a co-worker. She's so pretty!

Don't her shoes kind-of look like suede? And what do you think about the fluffy cotton looking muff, earmuffs & balls on the shoes? I thought it was fun!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Blog Challenge #4...

The verse for this week's challenge is Jeremiah 29:11, which is my favorite verse of the entire Bible. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." Every time I'm struggling with something in my life, I remember this verse and know that God has a perfect plan for my life. Though things might not go as I had planned or wished, they are going the way that He has planned and that's the best thing for me.

The challenge was to follow a "plan" aka sketch/pattern. I altered mine slightly, kind of like the Lord often has to alter MY plan for my life. :) Enjoy!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Blog Challenge #3...

FINALLY, after 2 1/2 hours of trying to upload this picture into blogger...

This challenge was good for me because I needed to make my son a card! He's working hard to be on the honor roll this first 9 weeks in school and so far he's carrying mostly A's, and he's a freshman in high school! I'm so proud of him! I know he's going to make it and so I made this card to give to him along with the "reward" he will be getting...his dad finally decided to get him a cell phone. He's super excited about it! Well, I chose to use purple paper because his school colors are purple & black. He saw the folded card that I received from last months Magnolia-licious mingle and thought it was cool, so I decided to make that style of a card for him. I just happened to have some wood looking wall cover samples from the girls at work and that was perfect for the border of the blackboard. I used glossy accents on the 2 full pencils on the front panel. I thought it turned out rather cool. I hope he likes it!

First is the mingle card I received from Pat Martin. Check out how she weaved the paper together in the background. Isn't that awesome?!? I also love the frame that Tilda is sitting in. That's a clever idea! It's such a beautiful card! Thank you, Pat!

This one is from Cheryl Rowley. I won her give-away during the Magnolia-licious blog hop. Isn't this a darling card and look, a new Tilda stamp! I love it!!! She asked what I'd like to see on the card, so I told her "CHRISTMAS!" I love Christmas! I love the way she speckled the oval background behind Tilda & on the Happy Holidays tag at the top. I'm going to have to learn that technique! I've seen many things that Cheryl has made and she is such a talented designer and I'm honored that I received this beautiful card from her. Thank you, Cheryl!

Magnolia-licious Blog Challenge

This month's blog challenge is to create an accordian mini-file folder. I found that with the instructions they provide and a ScorPal, it's much easier than it appears, and it's darling! Birthday Week...

I have the most wonderful crafting friend in the whole wide world!!! Look what Kristine sent me and it arrived ON my birthday!

I also received a package from Suzanne at http://scrapbitz.blogspot.com/ . She's amazing as well! I won these from her during the Magnolia-licious Fall Blog Hop. Aren't they adorable?

I got some more Magnolias in the mail this week and many other wonderful birthday presents from my family, such as a Scor-Pal, 2 sets of nestabilities, pads for my cuttlebug, new scissors & a pad of gorgeous paper from my husband! I also got a couple of gift cards from some girls at work and those are going for new stamping supplies, too! I'm so blessed!
